How to keep your discharge chute in up position

So a week or so I bought at Kubota Z121S 48". The Exmark that I sold had a solid metal discharge chute and this had a heavy duty plastic type. The Exmark could be flipped up and it would stay in the up position when I needed it to. This Kubota has a tension spring holding the chute in the down position. I don't really want to remove the chute but need to be able to open as necessary to get into the gate, storage building, etc and it stay in the up position.

I'm sure I am not the first to run into this - what is everyone doing on theirs for this issue?
