I am in the UP of Michigan and as my Title says I am repowering my JD 112 with the Onan 16hp twin and transaxle out of the Craftsman. The transaxle is quite a bit narrower and with wider tires will still fit within the modified JD fender deck. Plan is to keep the Variator. I'm still in the planning/fitment stage. I have the trans axle installed and stretched the wheelbase a few inches (at 6'3" need more space to sit!). My donor Suburban should be here next week; which will also give me an extra rear end.
